The Genovese Trend Team consists of12 New York area teenage girls, hand picked from over 5,000 applicants. Team members, who responded to an ad in Seventeen Magazine, were chosen based on school activities, responses to a questionnaire and a brief essay explaining why they wanted to be part of the team. The Trend Team's mission is to help Genovese Drug Stores spot the trends in health and beauty products. They advise Genovese on how and where they shop, as well as provide the lowdown on what products are hot and what products are not. For their input, each member will receive a $200 grant to a community non-profit organization of their choice, as well as a variety of products from Genovese, Kiss Products, Maybelline and other companies. The 1997 Trend Teams' year-long adventure will give them the opportunity to act as Genoveses' consumer advisors, models and spokespersons. |
